Skirts

So with the sewing machine that I got for Mothers Day
I thought I would try it out by making some skirts
for the girls.
Here are some pics of the finished products.
They turned out okay for it being my first time ever trying
to sew.

Here are the girls all ready for church today.
Of course I had to make them matching hair clips
to go with their new skirts!

Paytin with her model pose!
I really wish I was a photogenic as her.

And well... this is the best I can get out of Presley

I am looking forward to learning more and maybe even one day becoming good at this sewing thing.

Happy Mothers Day (just a little late!)

Here is a picture of the girls before church on Mothers Day.
Of course in their matching outfits.
I know some people may hate it, but I love it, and will
probably dress them the same until they refuse and do otherwise!

It is pretty much impossible to get a good picture of the girls and I together
so here is the best of what I got.

We had a great day. Brock and the girls gave me a sewing machine! I have been
wanting one for a while now. Not that I expect to become a great seamstress
because we all know that will never happen, but I have really been wanting
to try to do a few small projects, and learn the basics for those things
you need done once and a while. It should be interesting to see how it
goes.
We had a fabulous steak dinner and delicious cheesecake with
homemade strawberry sauce on top for dessert. It turned out
to be a pretty perfect day!

Paytin's 5th Birthday Party!!

So today we had Paytin's birthday party! It was wild, it was crazy and it was fun!!
Of course everything was Rapunzel.

The decorations.....
(Maximus apples)

(remember those cupcakes from Paytin's birthday? I just repurposed the left overs into a cute center piece for the party)

The games....

We played pin the frying pan on Flynn Rider. Do you see the frying pan in far right side of the picture? Yup that is Paytin's!

 The treat bags....

And the Cake!!!

The girls all played until they could play no more (who am I kidding they could have went all night!)

They even had chocolate covered strawberries in the clubhouse!

Everyone had so much fun at the party. I am tired and need a year to recover but it was all worth it to make my little girls day special.

Paytin Turns 5!!!

So on May 5th, 2011 my little girl had her "Golden Birthday", she turned
5 on the 5th!
Of course everything was Rapunzel because she is in LOVE with Rapunzel and has changed her name to Rapunzel!
Here are some pictures of the very special day.

Here is what Paytin woke up to for her birthday morning,
a brand new Rapunzel bike! She was so excited she rode it around the house all morning.
She walked up to me later that morning and said "Mom I am just so excited!"

I went to Playschool with Paytin that morning to help out in the class, Paytin brought cake pops
for everyone for her birthday.

yummy!!!

Here are some shots of her at school

That night we had a pizza party and cupcakes. Here are the pink and purple Rapunzel themed cupcakes we had.

Then we opened presents! The best part! Paytin was so excited she literally tore through them all in about 30 seconds. I am not sure she even knew what was in them she opened them so fast.

And her favourite. A new Rapunzel dress.

And a new Rapunzel swimming suit!

After cake and presents we all went swimming  (except Presley and I, who had to go to bed). We had such a fun day and Paytin already cannot wait until next year for another birthday! Next it is her Birthday Party!! I hope I survive!

Let the Soccer Season Begin!!

So soccer officially started today for Paytin. Not only was this her first game of the season, but her first game EVER!!!
She had fun running around the field, although she did get tired very quickly. It kind of reminded me of that commercial where all the little kids playing soccer are on the field and some are dressed in french fry and doughnut costumes and the one mother with the kid dressed as french fries asks the other if her kid looks slow today. I sincerely hope that it was just because it was almost her bedtime and it was the first game of the year that she was tired and not because she is a "junk food-aholic" which on some days could be very true!
Anyway here are some shots of the day

Modelling before the game

The coach filling them in before the "big game"

Running warm up laps. Paytin made 3 laps out of 5 before quitting!

Kicking the ball around the field for warm up

And she is tuckered out at half time

Doing drills

She came home after the game and told me she had so much fun, and had learned everything she needed to know already (ha ha). Half the time the kids did not even know which end was their goal, but she had fun and that is all that counts right?
