Happy Father's Day

Unfortunately Brock was not here for Father's Day this year, so we had to send him our love through photos!

Goodness Gracious

Paytin had her first ever Jazz dance recital this year at the Bert Church Theatre.
Her group danced to the song Goodness Gracious, and Paytin did an amazing job.
Here she is all ready to go out to perform

After her big show her Daddy of course had to get her a rose

She loved it so much she is already asking what dance she gets to do next year, and when it starts!

Make-up Anyone??

So the other morning before school the girls decided to do their own make-up. This was the result.....

And yes, Paytin did show up to kindergarten looking like this. They both actually thought that they looked quite beautiful and refused to wash their faces. So that is how they stayed!

Paytin Turns 6!!

Paytin's birthday celebration this year ended up being split up over a few days (lucky girl). To start off the festivities her and I went and got our hair done together. She loved getting to sit in the chair and be pampered while receiving some gorgeous new highlights.

Paytin's actual birthday fell on a Saturday this year so of course we had to have her party with all of her friends from school that day, but unfortunately Dad was away for work and had to miss the party.
She woke up in the morning to a Happy Birthday car, balloons and presents!!

Paytin chose to have a Ice Cream Carnival themed birthday party. So once all of the party guests arrived we dove right into our game playing. Here they are playing the ice cream cone bean bag toss!

Then it was on to trying to drop the penny into the little glass at the bottom of a pitcher of water.
At each game they won prizes and candies to fill up their loot bags they each decorated when they arrived. All of the kids were having so much fun trying to earn their loot!

Not letting the balloon drop game... and about a dozen other carnival type games kept them entertained for 3 hours (what was I thinking???)

Posing with their bags of treats

After the games of course we had to make delicious ice cream sundaes

Because Daddy was gone for Paytin's actual birthday we saved her presents from us and had another celebration for her when he arrived home the following weekend. We all went swimming at more sundaes and opened more presents.
What little girl doesn't love two birthdays?? We had a blast!

Presley's 3rd Birthday!!!

Presley had a great birthday this year, and to top it off she got to celebrate twice!!
Her actual birthday fell on a Wednesday and her party was not until Friday night so of course we had to do something fun both days.
First she woke up to presents and  balloons awaiting her in her bedroom. She was so excited...
Then she got all dressed up in her "Happy Birthday to me" shirt.

She got to pick anything she wanted to do for the day and she chose to go to McDonald's for lunch and go bowling in the evening. So that is exactly what we did!

Getting ready to make her big shot....

The gang after their great bowling game

We then headed back to our house for presents and cake. My mom bought her a Lady and the Tramp nightie which she loves, as well as all of the Jake and the Neverland Pirates stuffed dolls.

Because she is a computer game junkie, Brock and I got her her own Android Tablet. She hasn't quite figured it out yet, as it is not quite as user friendly as the ipad

For her cake I told her she could have any kind of cake she wanted and she said she wanted a strawberry cake. So that is what she got. A strawberry cake with strawberry icing and chocolate covered strawberries on top. Yum!
For her party she had been asking and asking for a Jake and the Neverland Pirates Party.
Here is her invite, minus the details.

Once all of the kids arrived they each started out by painting their own treasure chests.
Here is Presley's finished product.

Once their treasure boxes were all decorated all the kids lined up and had to "Walk the Plank" in order to become a real pirate.
Once they successfully completed waling the plank they received a pirate hat and sword.

Then they heard the tale of the lost treasure......
and had to use an old treasure map that took them around the house until they located the treasure

What they found!

After presents it was then time for more cake!!!
This time she got an Izzy cake to go along with the Jake and the Neverland Pirates theme

We all had so much fun, and she is already asking me when it will be her birthday will be again!
