Pink Fruitopia

So normally you wouldn't think that pink fruitopia could be that dangerous, but I am here to tell you that you are wrong.
On Monday after work I picked the girls up from McDonalds where they were playing in the playplace with my Mom. When we left Paytin had a large cup right full of Fruitopia that she insisted on bringing home with her. Low and behold as soon as she got into the van she spilt that large cup of Fruitopia all over the floor and out the drivers side sliding door. She then proceeded to scream like she was dying because she had spilt all of her beloved drink, while I tried to wipe as much of it up as I could with an entire container of baby wipes.
Well the next morning when I got into the van lets see....

  • the windshield wipers were going non-stop
  • the speedometer didn't work
  • the gas gauge didn't work
  • the signal lights didn't work
  • every light on the dash board was blinking
  • my head lights were flashing
  • my back up sensor was buzzing constantly
  • ... and the list goes on

Anyway after a last minute trip to the Dodge dealership which made me late for work, I found out that all of this was due to... you guessed it. That large cup of Fruitopia spilling onto some electrical wires inside the sliding door, which consequently fried the electrical in the van, which also by the way is not covered under warranty because it is juice!! I love my kids, I love my kids, I love my kids.....

Canada Day

So our Canada Day this year started out Great!
We started our Day off by going to the traditional
Canada Day Parade.
We always sit at the beginning of the parade route so that all of the floats still have plenty of candy left, and boy did the girls rack up! They each came out with a huge bag full. By the end of the parade they were pretty much just holding their bags out like trick or treating because they were getting so much.
9am in the morning and already eating Dora Snacks!

So this is what happens if you ask Presley to let you take her picture....
therefore this is the best shot I got of her, and it was only because I surprised her!

Paytin and Rylee waiting for the parade to begin, candy bags in hand
the best shot we could get of all 4 girls waiting for the parade
Presley's favorite part of the whole parade besides the horses were of course the bubbles. She was so thrilled!

After the parade we went over to my mom and dads for a bbq.
I guess it was from there on that our day went down hill. First I was in Urgent Care with Presley because she came down with a 103 degree fever and was just miserable. It took 3 nurses and one Dr. to hold her down while trying to get a throat swab. A few hours later and $50 in medication and she was on her way. I left Paytin at my parents while I took Presley home to nap and low and behold while I was gone Paytin spiked the 103 degree fever and was crying on the couch because she didn't feel good. So back to urgent care we went again. Two times in one day! Seriously! So 3 hours later we were out of there yet again. Brock had to go to Utah for the weekend and it seems that EVERY time he goes away my kids get sick. Do they plan it this way or is it just a coincidence because seriously this is getting annoying. Anyway they are on the mend, and everyone is finally enjoying this little bit of summer weather we are getting!
