Presley's 3rd Birthday!!!

Presley had a great birthday this year, and to top it off she got to celebrate twice!!
Her actual birthday fell on a Wednesday and her party was not until Friday night so of course we had to do something fun both days.
First she woke up to presents and  balloons awaiting her in her bedroom. She was so excited...
Then she got all dressed up in her "Happy Birthday to me" shirt.

She got to pick anything she wanted to do for the day and she chose to go to McDonald's for lunch and go bowling in the evening. So that is exactly what we did!

Getting ready to make her big shot....

The gang after their great bowling game

We then headed back to our house for presents and cake. My mom bought her a Lady and the Tramp nightie which she loves, as well as all of the Jake and the Neverland Pirates stuffed dolls.

Because she is a computer game junkie, Brock and I got her her own Android Tablet. She hasn't quite figured it out yet, as it is not quite as user friendly as the ipad

For her cake I told her she could have any kind of cake she wanted and she said she wanted a strawberry cake. So that is what she got. A strawberry cake with strawberry icing and chocolate covered strawberries on top. Yum!
For her party she had been asking and asking for a Jake and the Neverland Pirates Party.
Here is her invite, minus the details.

Once all of the kids arrived they each started out by painting their own treasure chests.
Here is Presley's finished product.

Once their treasure boxes were all decorated all the kids lined up and had to "Walk the Plank" in order to become a real pirate.
Once they successfully completed waling the plank they received a pirate hat and sword.

Then they heard the tale of the lost treasure......
and had to use an old treasure map that took them around the house until they located the treasure

What they found!

After presents it was then time for more cake!!!
This time she got an Izzy cake to go along with the Jake and the Neverland Pirates theme

We all had so much fun, and she is already asking me when it will be her birthday will be again!

Easter 2012

So for Easter this year the girls and I trekked it up to Lloydminster so we could spend it with Brock who was up there working. He is staying with his sister Kalinda and her husband Mark and since the two guys were alone since Kalinda had left to visit family in Calgary the girls and I decided to spend Easter there and cook them some dinner!
Of course we had to color Easter eggs, which was a huge hit. Presley has asked almost everyday since if she can color eggs again.

This is very serious work.......

The finished products!

Once the girls were all finished they went for a swim in the hot tub, and then got ready
for the Easter Bunny to come. They made "nests" on the couch for all of the treats he
brought to be put in.

The Easter Bunny also hid colourful chocolate eggs all around the house for the girls to find.
Here is all the loot they collected!

Once they had found all of their treats we all got ready for church and headed out.

Looking beautiful of course. And how could we not include a picture of Paytin with the dogs Molly and Lilly, whom she tortured pretty much the entire time we were there. She does love them though, we tried to convince her that if she left them alone they would like her more and try to sit beside her willingly then. She tried it for a while but lost patience and once again began carrying them around with her everywhere!
